Privacy, in short
You can play Most People without an account. We do not ask for your name or email address.
Your country, answer history, progress and streak are saved in this browser’s local storage. They are not synced between devices or browsers.
On your first visit, Cloudflare estimates your country from your IP address to suggest who you play for. The game receives only the country code and does not store your IP address for this feature. You can change the suggestion; your saved choice takes priority. A VPN may change the suggested country. If detection is unavailable, we use your browser’s region setting.
You can make a separate set of predictions for each country each day. Your personal answers carry across countries. Only your first country round can add anonymous votes or country ranking points; comparison rounds do not. Your streak advances at most once per day.
Clearing this site’s storage or site data removes your saved progress and streak. On a different device, browser or browser profile, you start a separate streak. Clearing cached files alone usually does not remove these records.
An incognito or private window uses separate temporary storage, so you start a separate streak there. When that private browsing session ends, its saved progress is normally removed.
When “Count my answers” is on, each submitted answer adds to anonymous totals for that question and country. The game backend stores aggregate counters rather than an individual answer history. Your own answer history stays in this browser.
Real-only comparisons appear once 5 genuine answers are available for that question and country, or worldwide. Before then, clearly labelled starter data can provide a playable comparison.
Early comparisons can include 75 generated starter answers per question, kept separate from real votes and labelled in the game. They are a practice baseline, not measured country statistics. Country and world comparisons each switch to real-only data at 50 genuine answers. Country rankings use only predictions scored against real country data.
Switch off "Count my answers" in settings to play without being counted.
Our hosting provider keeps short technical logs that can include IP addresses, for security.
We use Google AdSense to support these free games. Ad serving depends on Google’s approval and ad availability. Advertising tags load on game pages, and Google and its advertising partners may receive your IP address, browser and device information, page visits and ad interactions. They may use cookies or similar storage to deliver, measure and protect ads, and, where you consent, personalise them. Google processes this information under its own privacy policies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google’s certified consent message offers Consent, Do not consent and Manage options. You can change or withdraw your choice using “Privacy & cookie settings” in the footer; from an ad-free page, this opens a game to load the consent controls. Declining personalised advertising does not block the games. Google may serve limited ads where permitted. Game progress is stored separately from advertising choices. We do not send your game answers or scores to the ad network. Browser privacy tools or ad blockers can prevent Google’s message from loading.
